Being Real.

“Hey Richard so.. how ya been this week? Doing well with God?”

[I think about it and I'm really not doing that great]

“Um.. I’m doing.. deecennnttt.. I guess. Pretty good actually.” Continue reading ‘Being Real.’

Johari/Nohari stuff.

I was recently invited to participate in the Johari window and the Nohari window. For all of you who don’t know what they are, the Johari window is an open web site that allows you to select (out of a list of 30 or so) 6 character strengths that you see in a specific person. Upon finishing, you are able to view what others think of them as well, and what the owner thinks of themselves. I definitely thought this was cool, so I gave it a shot. Success! People think I’m smart, witty, charming, outgoing and pretty much everything great there is!

There’s a problem though. Continue reading ‘Johari/Nohari stuff.’

Meh.

Letting you all know I’m still alive.

I’ve been “losing heat” with some of my old buddies from MV. Really, really good to see them. Some I haven’t seen since graduation, so that was refreshing to see how they’re doing and all that. Cool.

ROL stuff is going well. Angela and Victor are quickly recruiting us all to help plan for 2007, and quite frankly, I’m excited to see what God has in store for them this year.

Cranium is fun, even if you’re losing. I also think competitiveness really does detract from fun. They are not the same, and just because someone is winning doesn’t mean they are having fun. Let’s stop thinking this way.

Trends

This summer seems to be the summer of the abandoned blog. Blogs strewn on the sides of the road, abandoned with their sunken stomachs devoid of any updates since May where some (inevitable) post on finals week and/or summer plans was done.

This is a sad thing, because summer is the time which I feel MOST bored and would like to read about people’s lives, yet they are so busy (or not busy) with their lives that they feel no urge to update the world. Sigh.

Also, this summer seems to be the summer of weddings and engagements. To count, there are 2 couples getting married (this saturday!) and 2 other couples who got engaged. Man, what’s going on? This is crazy.

However, it doesnt seem to be a hook-up summer, since no one I know has gotten together in the summer. No one has broken up though, so woot i guess.
