Summer started out for me by going directly to Vancouver for a few days. There wasn’t anything super special about it or surprising – it’s pretty much whatd you’d expect from a Northern, Canadian city. Fresh air, chilly weather, cool people, nice scenery.
I came back to start my internship at Cisco with really surprising results. I expected it to be a lot like last year, where I was pretty much alone all the time (as the only intern in the group) and I kinda fended for myself. On the first day, I met and moved in with 3 other interns! It’s really quite exciting, because they are really social and warm people; I’m looking forward to spending more time with them in the future.
On top of the massive mound of perks that come with Cisco, on Thursday we’re going white water rafting (WAHOO!) as a team. Can’t wait to own my boss.
